Westland Place Studios artist Jan Goodkin will be giving a special live performance as part of the 2015 Open Studios event.
'As the ghost of Marie Antoinette I will be recalling her final journey to the guillotine ….on the Fire Escape in the courtyard, near the recycling bins, at the back of Westland Place Studio building!
The performance is based on the aria ‘They are always with me’ which is from the opera ‘The Ghosts of Versailles’ composed by John Corigliano with libretto by W M Hoffman in 1992. Even as a ghost Marie Antoinette is haunted by the terrible events and the vivid horrific images she had endured.'
Commences at 7PM on Thursday the 1st of October at Westland Place Studios.
